WHAT IS CBD?

CBD is the shortened name for cannabidiol, a naturally occurring chemical compound derived from the cannabis plant, while CBD oil is the concentrated liquid abstract of the plant. Cannabis is more commonly known as marijuana and contains various compounds, including CBD and THC, which have many effects on the body.

The most well-known cannabis compound is TCH, which produces a euphoric high after smoking or ingesting it. But cannabidiol, or CBD, is becoming more popular and is being used for a wide variety of ailments including pain, anxiety and physical movement disorders, but without the psychoactive effect of THC. And CBD is hailed by advocates as an alternative home remedy and safe to use because it has no detrimental side effects like those found in many current medications.
